Pietro Faccioli and Lidia Pieri are professional tango dancers, instructors, and DJs from Verona (Italy), where they run a cultural center entirely devoted to argentine tango (www.rossoaovest.com). The are the founders of the Compagnia di Teatro-Tango Rossoaovest, a theater-dance company which combines and merges the languages of argentine tango, contemporary dance and acting (http://direzionetango.wix.com/compagniarossoaovest).
In their tango dancing, the focus is on exploring different levels of intimacy in the embrace, in combination with dynamics and musicality. In their teaching, much emphasis is put on analyzing the structure and relationships between elementary movements, in order to enhance the naturalness of the dance and the connection between the partners.
